Mr. Liu is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent and copyright law, and related licensing and litigations issues. The focus of Mr. Liu´s practice is in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical, electromechanical, optical, semiconductor, telecommunication, medical imaging, medical devices, information technology, and computer-related arts. His experience includes the post-grant proceedings such as Inter Partes Reviews and Covered Business Methods. Mr. Liu also has extensive litigation experience. As a former associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, Mr. Liu litigated high stakes patent and copyright cases in venues such as the Eastern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Virginia, the Northern and Central Districts of California, the District of Delaware, the Southern District of Florida, and the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Liu is a graduate of the Brooklyn Technical High School and holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from The Cooper Union in 2001. He received his J.D. degree in 2006 from Fordham Law School, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review.
