Steve S. Cha

Mr. Cha is a registered patent attorney and a partner with Cha & Reiter, with experience in patent and trademark law, and related licensing issues. Mr. Cha has concentrated his practice in the field of intellectual property law and has engaged in all phases of intellectual property in the fields of electromechanical engineering, information technology, telecommunications, medical imaging, medical devices, semiconductor, automobile, and computers.

Mr. Cha's experience includes the federal and state courts as well as negotiating settlements of disputed matters; securing and maintaining trademark and copyright protection in the U.S.; counseling clients on how to protect their intellectual property and advising them with respect to availability for use and registration of trademarks; rendering opinions relating to patentability and infringement issues; and negotiating licenses and assignments.

Mr. Cha received his J.D. degree in 1995 from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 1992, and participated in the MSEE program in telecommunication from the City University of New York from 1999 to 2001.
