Tony Piotrowski

Mr. Piotrowski is a registered patent attorney with over 30 years of experience in IP counseling, patent litigation, patent prosecution, patent/SEP licensing, patent pool licensing/administration, M&A/patent acquisition and other IP issues. In this regard, Mr. Piotrowski was formerly the general counsel for a world leading packager and license administrator of patent pools for standards and technology platforms that generated several billion dollars of royalties for patent owners through a series of licensing programs in technology areas including video codecs (e.g., H.264 and H.265). In addition to leading MPEG LA's legal department, he oversaw the company's licensing programs and new program development. Mr. Piotrowski’s was formerly VP of business acquisition for a technology/IP license entity where he led activities for the identification, sourcing, evaluation, financing and management of patent acquisition/licensing opportunities. He has also held senior positions for major multination corporations where he was responsible for global patent/SEP licensing programs (e.g., multimedia and video distribution platforms) and regional Intellectual property activities in Asia and Europe. He has also worked in private practice for a large NY law firm that specialized in lP litigation. Mr. Piotrowski is associated with the firm as of counsel

Mr. Piotrowski received his J.D. degree with high honors from Seton Hall Law School. He earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering with high honors from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
